Handbag Designer, Brynn Capella was born and raised along the beaches of Southern California where much of her inspiration comes from.  When she moved to her parents’ hometown of Chicago, she quickly adapted to her new urban city life.  Brynn studied Journalism (Advertising and Broadcast) at San Diego State University. So although she grew up with an eye for detail and a great sense of style, her fashion career grew out of a hobby.

Brynn taught herself everything from scratch…design, pattern making, sewing, illustration, how to run a business too.  Her philosophy that less will always be more is the base of her collection. Brynn also doesn’t believe in cutting corners or mass-production, so she has her collection locally handcrafted, in limited quantities to ensure this.

She loves creating designs that work as well with broken-in jeans and flip-flops as they do a classic LBD. Best described as classic elegance meets everyday casual, her beautiful Italian leather handbags effortlessly transition wardrobes from day-to-night and season-to-season. She has filled a niche in a market where there was a void of a quality designer Italian leather brand still made in the USA, now and always, at affordable prices.

Her business quickly took off after she left her career in the music and entertainment worlds.  In 2010, she created her popular Lauren bag, named after a friend who inspired the design.  It recently gained notoriety in a national ad campaign via Jewel and Oscar Mayer lunchables. Strange we know, but results have been huge.

The “What’s In Her Bag?” campaign, running from July – September 2011, features the contents of Jewel’s purse AND the bag being featured is our Lauren Boardwalk! The ad has been seen in many publications such as People, Glamour, US Weekly, Real Simple, In Touch, Redbook and more.

Brynn is ready to move to the next level!
