This summer I have worked on increasing my marketing skills and techniques. When I started the internship in May we decided that one of our main goals was to really focus on retargeting strategies. This includes sales for our subscribers, trigger emails, ads and continuing to always keep our current customers up to date.
“Retargeting, also known as remarketing, is a form of online advertising that can help you keep your brand in front of bounced traffic after they leave your website. For most websites, only 2% of web traffic converts on the first visit.” -The ReTargeter
So if you are a subscriber of ours or frequent our website you will now be seeing ads as well as emails from us reminding about products you have viewed or put into your cart. We do this to help you, not us.
We really looked deep into the idea of ads and trigger emails because we know they can get a bit annoying, but when I really thought about it, I love when I have been thinking about getting that one pair of shoes and I just need someone to tell me to do it. If that person cannot be your friend or family member, then it is nice when the brand or store sends you a reminder which then gives you that push to get that thing you have been wanting.
Retargeting is a great marketing strategy. It has helped us really keep our current customer informed. However, we now need to get back on our marketing game for new customers. We try to do this via Instagram and Facebook, but it is not bringing the amount of new customers we would think.
So for the last week or so of my time here at Brynn as the Lifestyle Marketing intern, we are going to really focus on driving new people to our site. We have a great sale happening and our new fall collection is about to be released so this is the perfect time for new customers to Brynn Capella come and view the amazing bags.
Keep an eye out for some new marketing tactics from us in the next few weeks and make sure to share the love with your friends and family!
