Now with spring upon us, wedding season is quickly approaching! Soon the save the date cards are going to start coming in. Are you ready?
Weddings are my favorite – I think they are the most fun and happiest celebration. As a guest, you are only responsible for attendance, bringing your dancing shoes, and of course, the newlyweds gift! Gifts being another one of my favorite things (plus, I think of myself as a rather excellent gift giver). Each couple is different and takes different interests so I have brainstormed a list of gifts to give to a few of these soon-to-be married couples. No need to thank me for the ideas, it’s my pleasure.
Let’s get started:
For those who need help in the kitchen:
Perhaps a nice couples cooking class would be nice for these newlyweds.
With all the appliances and kitchenware I’m sure they’ll be gifted, this might be a lifesaver to them, literally.
Just hop online and take a look at what is available and local for the couple!
For the couples who love giving back:
This one is a little different, but definitely a good one.
Make a charitable donation to a charity of your choosing or a cause the couple is passionate about in their name. The gift of giving just got taken another step further. You can take a look at a list of charities and what they represent here.
For the nature lovers:
This beehive would be a nice gift considering there is no maintenance AND you would be helping the bee crisis currently happening. It’s a win-win situation.
This may sound cruel, I do realize that, but honeybees are actually kind creatures and only want to pollinate our flowers! An alternative would be other outdoors items such as a hammock or a portable speaker.
For the sentimentalists:
Something for keepsake is always nice, but we know that this can be easily overdone for newlyweds. I tried to go with something more unique that I know they wouldn’t want to bury in a box. This melted glass bottle is beautiful, decorated with floral accents, it can showcase the invitation to their wedding or a photo of the couple.
For the couples who like to stay in:
Some people enjoy staying in and watching movies on the couch with a nice bowl of popcorn to be the way to spend the night. I chose this nice thick, warm throw blanket to be perfect. It’ll be of practical use for the newlyweds and frequently used. It’s so simple, it’s great.
The bride-to-be can also be an excellent gift giver to her girls…our Cher wristlets make great bridesmaid gifts and can actually be used on the big day. You can match them to the dresses or individually. Either way, it’s a daily reminder of the fun they had at your wedding.
I hope you have as much fun celebrating as I am. This year, I only have one wedding on the list and I’m definitely going to make the best of it.
